New police powers see them able to fine ‘annoying’ people.

Extreme dictator-like powers have been given to NSW police and other World Youth Day volunteers that see them able to fine people $5500 for wearing a T-Shirt that may annoy patrons of WYD services.

I wonder, if I am driving to a WYD service and some Shmo doesn’t indicate to change lanes in front of me (rendering me 100% annoyed) can I perform a citizens fining of said shitty driver? Or should I just call the cops?

Bleugh, bugger the fines. This gives me more reason to get out there and protest this nazism.

Thou shalt not annoy on Youth Day

People can get so worked up.

An RAAF Boeing 707 did a ‘farewell’ flight over Sydney today as it is going to be decommissioned. It was tailed by a fighter jet that was taking photos. Apparently a whole swarm of Sydney office workers freaked out! Omg, more terrorists using the same plot as before!!

Chillax people, you’re pissing me off.

And for the record, I dont think 9/11 was performed by terrorists.

Facebook ‘dipping’ group.

In other news, Teenagers in the UK have been using google maps to locate neighbours’ swimming pools for late night dip-n-dash sessions.

Structured Procrastination

Anybody that knows me knows that I am a bit of a procrastinator. No, no – I am, really. So in my attempt at changing some aspects of my life (namely trying to adopt GTD methodologies) I found a site on Structured Procrastinating. I read part of the first page before getting distracted and now I have just realised that it has been an open tab in Firefox since last week and every time I notice it, I think “I’ll get to that later”.

Man.. This is going to take more work than I initially expected.

Astonishing advertising lengths

Wow, this blog post has a screen shot of an advertisement during a show. And I don't mean the show went to an ad break, I mean the show was 'paused' by a guy walking on the screen to plug a new show.

While TV advertising in Australia is getting *really* bad, its not quite this bad yet.

Make sure you click the link about 'stealing' broadcasting. Its worth a chuckle.

Cars cars cars

It looks like car manufacturers have made no great advances in fuel efficiency in the past half-century. Its not exactly shocking, no doubt they are all in bed with the oil companies anyway. The new Commodore is a perfect example of this. Lets give the average Aussie family a 6.0L V8 with 20" rims to drive the kids around... What a joke. And, as most Commodores are company cars for employee's that get tax benefits for the more they drive, its no doubt that our cars are contributing 14% of our carbon emissions.

Wake up Australia.

Cars no more efficient than 60's.
Tax breaks on company cars may go.

Holy Crap! This is funny stuff.

A kid smashes his dads built-to-order Ferrari F360. Anybody who has $400k to spare on a ferrari should be hunted down, or have his son run it into a pole. Thats funny.
Linky.

Reminds me of the Bentley dealership I walk past on the way to work that advertise their cars in the windows for between $400k and $600k and add 'Drive Away' to the signs! HAHAHA. Like anybody who has $600k to spend on a car gives a flying CRAP if it includes 'dealer and statutory charges'. What gimps.
