A judge has let a bunch of Greenpeace activists off the hook after they did 35,000 pounds damage to a coal plant. In their defence, they stated that the plant will do much more damage than that in the future and were all found not guilty.

One of Sydney’s best suburbs, home to Blinky the three eyed fish.
Blinky the fish has recently been spotted swimming around one of Sydney’s best suburbs where the radiation levels are somewhat Chernobyl-like.

16 year old discovers the answer to the plastic bag problem.
Plastic bags are an absolute environmental disaster. Many areas in the world are now banning them from being used. The article below states that for every square mile of ocean there are 46,000 pieces of plastic litter. That's unacceptable and makes me nervous as hell.
But, there may be a light at the end of this dark and highly polluted tunnel. A 16 year old kid has discovered a few strains of bacteria which actually consume plastic. After 6 weeks the plastic being tested on was 43% consumed with only water and minute traces of CO2 to show for it.

Is buying green products for the wrong reasons, ok?
After commenting on an article on EcoTechDaily, I found myself in the middle of a heated discussion with a user on that site who saw the article content as another 'marketing tool'.
Its interesting to read the arguments going on in the comments of the article and see how people react to these sort of products.
Cars cars cars
It looks like car manufacturers have made no great advances in fuel efficiency in the past half-century. Its not exactly shocking, no doubt they are all in bed with the oil companies anyway. The new Commodore is a perfect example of this. Lets give the average Aussie family a 6.0L V8 with 20" rims to drive the kids around... What a joke. And, as most Commodores are company cars for employee's that get tax benefits for the more they drive, its no doubt that our cars are contributing 14% of our carbon emissions.
Wake up Australia.
Cars no more efficient than 60's.
Tax breaks on company cars may go.
