About Me

I am a environmentally aware, human and animal rights advocating, software engineering family man from Sydney Australia.

I primarily work as a Software Engineer for REA-Group (realestate.com.au) and build a property / contact relationship platform called Hub Online. I have worked in web development for a long time now and consider myself a bit of a web buff. I love building sites and web applications and dabble a bit in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). I'm also Australian which explains the 's' (and lack of 'z') in optimisation. I have a wife and daughter and am lucky enough to live on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

I am passionate about the environment and sustainability and have started a blog on the topic; Sustain Myself was launched in October 2008. I am also an avid supporter or member of Amnesty International, Greenpeace International, Sea Shepherd, Free Tibet, New Internationalist and many other activism organisations for the rights of humans or animals. I am a little bit Buddhist by nature but I am not sure what my religion would be classed as.

I own and run Skylines Australia which is one of Australia's largest online communities with over 45,000 members and 4 million posts.

I am a member of dozens of websites and web services, a few of them are in my sidebar.

    You never really know what someone is really like until you walk a few miles in their shoes...Christian your shoes are not what I was expecting.  Anyhow I am trying to get in touch with you regarding one of your successes (SAU)....how can I do this in a more discrete format?....don't want to post my cell # here....thanks to one of your lessons:-).  Cheers, L

    VERY BAD SCAM: April=On Tuesday night, I put my bike up for sale on bikesales.com.au. Within an hour of it going live, I get an email from admdixx0110@gmail.com;

    Thanks so much for the scam post. Googled it & it went straight to your blog post. The very thing happened to me, I figured it out before it was too late. Thankfully!! I live in the United States, so they are Everywhere Beware! I replied to the original post. You may find it funny.
