Agree with you totally, but we live in a country of racist bigots, even if you were to set aside the bad history we have, moving forward we havent seemed to learn anything.

I like Australia, I think its a great place to live, I am proud of our culture. Not our country, thats a different thing all together. The collective in Australia could live in another country for all I care but providing we keep the same easy-going, laid back attitude that we always have had, then it doesnt matter where you are.

I'm not proud of our government, either Federal or State. Both are just a sack of lying scum suckers who continually make 'vote for me' promises that they dont intend to keep.

Its interesting hearing your argument as you were the biggest anti-patriot I had ever met. Not sure what happened?

We should definitely catch up. But, I fear it wont be for a few weeks as we are at sandbar next weekend and this weekend I have a riding course.

Something needs to be said about being proud of what Australia is as opposed to what it was. There will always be things in any countries past that they're not proud of. But I think one needs to get past that and celebrate what we are doing right.

Similarly, there will always be a minority that give a country 'a bad name' (according to you). There are always going to be people you disagree with when it comes to running this country, that doesn't mean you can't be proud of it.
