		<description>I am very impressed with GetUp&#039;s  reply to your comment.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I think just as Jason said, it is a very sensitive issue, it needs a carefully considered approach.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The only scenario I can see where removing financial assistance might improve school attendance, would be families that don&#039;t depend on the gov payment on a day to day basis. In this case they might use the money toward non-essential, nice to have items, which might be enough to encourage action.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;In the case of the wealthy this would have no impact. And for low income families (who depend on the gov payment for food), this approach would only exacerbate these social problems. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Surely Rudd can come up with a better solution?</description>
